Immersive Ferry Route V2.0

Immersive Ferry Route

The purpose of the mod is having a immersive ferry route which operates between the four cities of Blackwater, Saint Denis, Van Horn and Annesburg. You can travel from each town to each town, either a full immersive cruise or you can skip journey to simply arrive at the port. If there is no ship in the town you can buy the ticket at the clerk (blip on map) and after a short fade out the ship will arrive in the port. The ship itself has got a yellow icon. Now the default ship is the Guarma Ship NBD because it has an interior. (Tugboat 2 is still availible, if someone prefers to use that, but it has not interior and I don’t think I’m going to add it.

Installation instructions
Simply put the ImmersiveFerryRoute.asi and the ImmersiveFerryRoute.ini in your main RDR2 folder.

Main features
Full travel features, With buying the ticket, departing, travelling the whole distance and docking at the destination port. Skip journey is possible, when pressing RMB while onboard the ship, you can choose where to skip the travel at the condition that you bought the ticket to this port. Now in version 1.1 you can TAKE SEAT near the captain and TAKE CONTROL of the ship (the captain will get into passenger seat) and you can also RETURN CONTROL to the captain. The captain will try to resume the journey to the next destination, although if you leave the ship in a place where he doesn’t know how to navigate he will collide. You should leave the control in a place where he can resume the journey easily. If you arrive in a port and remain seated you have to press E to get out of the seat and then you can get offboard by pressing E again. Now your horse(s) is teleported to your destination after you get offboard. (You can stil switch this off in the .ini)

Requirements
You need Scripthook V2 and an ASI loader. (This mod has been made and tested with Scripthook V2 and Ultimate ASI loader). Now you don’t need Project New Austin to work it properly (but I still strongly recommend it), since it uses now an auto detection feature if you’ve got PNA installed or not. The extended dock at Blackwater looks much better imho, so it’s meant to be used with PNA. (And in best case together with BCO – Blackwater Capital Overhaul) Maybe you need the NoSinking mod too, I didn’t test it without it, since some routes are on the edge of the waterways to avoid collision with other ships. I made this mod as compatible as possible taking into account mods like: PNA, BCO, BFW, ADW, VHE. All the routes are made, so they don’t collide with the additional boats and dynamic events of these mods. Of course it’s impossible to foresee every movement on the water, but did everything to avoid collision after heavily testing it. Even the boat of BFW (Blackwater Fireworks mod) is taken into account.

Shout outs
Thanks for the mod makers that made this game so beatiful. Special thanks to the PNA team, to Rixus for Blackwater Capital Overhaul (BCO), MonsieurGremlin for his BFW, RichardHertz and TuffyTown for A Dynamic World (ADW) and BigiApra for his great Van Horn Expansion (VHE). This mod has been heavily assisted by AI (ChatGPT) And of course many thanks to kepmehz for providing Scripthook V2 (the feature of enabling/disabling the scripts during running the game has saved me a lot of time!) and ThriteenAG for providing Ultimate ASI loader.
