Controller Aim Fix V1.1

Removes the controller sensitivity slowdown while aiming and Quick Drawing.
Keep the same camera sensitivity while aiming that you have during normal gameplay.

OVERVIEW
Controller Aim Fix removes the forced camera sensitivity reduction that Red Dead Redemption 2 applies when aiming with a controller.
Normally, when playing with a controller, the game significantly lowers your camera/aim sensitivity as soon as you hold the aim trigger. Even if your regular look sensitivity is set high, aiming suddenly feels slower and heavier.
Mouse input does not have this same forced slowdown.
This mod removes that behavior.
Your controller will now retain its normal camera sensitivity while aiming, making aiming feel faster, more responsive and much more consistent with your regular camera movement.
The same fix is also applied during Quick Draw, where the game normally reduces camera movement even further.

WHAT IT CHANGES
Removes aim sensitivity slowdown when using a controller.
Keeps your normal camera sensitivity while aiming.
Applies the same behavior during Quick Draw.
Makes transitioning between normal camera movement and aiming feel much more consistent.
Works automatically — no hotkeys or menus required.

VANILLA VS. MOD
Vanilla:
Controller camera sensitivity → Aim → Sensitivity is reduced
Controller Aim Fix:
Controller camera sensitivity → Aim → Sensitivity remains the same
This essentially gives controller aiming the same kind of unrestricted camera movement you would expect when aiming with a mouse.

QUICK DRAW
The fix also affects the game’s Quick Draw mechanic.
During Quick Draw, RDR2 normally applies its own reduced aiming sensitivity, which can make moving your aim toward a target feel unusually slow.
With Controller Aim Fix installed, that slowdown is removed as well, allowing you to move your aim at your normal controller sensitivity during Quick Draw.

IMPORTANT
Set Aim Sensitivity to max in the game settings.
It simply removes the game’s forced sensitivity reduction while aiming.
Your actual aiming speed still depends on the sensitivity settings you have configured in the game.

REQUIREMENTS

Ultimate ASI Loader

INSTALLATION
Make sure ScriptHookRDR2, Lenny’s Mod Loader (LML) and an ASI Loader are installed.
Extract the downloaded archive.
Copy the included .asi file and lml folder into your main Red Dead Redemption 2 directory:
Launch the game.

The mod is active automatically.

UNINSTALLATION
Delete the mod’s .asi file and lml/Controller Aim Fix from your Red Dead Redemption 2 directory.
