The Grappling Hook Mod (GHM) introduces high-speed vertical traversal to the world of RDR2. Designed for explorers, this script allows you to fire a dynamic grappling hook up to 300 meters to latch onto mountains, buildings and structures.
Installation Instruction
Make sure you’ve installed ScriptHookRDR2 V2 first (see Requirement).
Download this mod and unzip it.
Copy GrapplingHook.asi
into your main Red Dead Redemption 2 game folder – the same folder that contains RDR2.exe and ScriptHookRDR2.dll
Launch the game and load into Story Mode.
To uninstall, just delete:
GrapplingHook.asi from your game folder.
Features
Long-Range Traversal: Fire a grappling hook up to 300 in-game meters to scale massive cliffsides and tall buildings in seconds.
Seamless Wall Hanging: Automatically snap to vertical surfaces upon reaching your destination realistically hang from the rock face or architecture.
Wall Vaulting (Jump): Execute a powerful, physics-based directional jump off the wall to launch yourself up and over ledges.
Dynamic State Management: Saves and restores your equipped weapons, disables fall damage during transit.
Controls
Controller (Xbox / PlayStation)
Grapple: Hold LT / L2 (Aim) + Press RB / R1 (Cover)
Drop / Cancel Pull: Press Y / Triangle
Jump Off Wall (While Hanging): Press X / Square
Re-Grapple (While Hanging): Hold LT / L2 (Aim) + Press RB / R1 (Cover)
Keyboard & Mouse
Grapple: Hold Right Click (Aim) + Press Q (Cover)
Drop / Cancel Pull: Press E or F
Jump Off Wall (While Hanging): Press Spacebar
Re-Grapple (While Hanging): Hold Right Click (Aim) + Press Q (Cover)
