Ambient Gang II V2.0

Ambient Gang II

A sequel to the original Ambient Gang, to add wandering enemy gang throughout the world, the premise is the same but with addition that the original cannot provide due to the limitation of Rockstar’s own population system

Perhaps the biggest issue of the old mod, is that enemy gang only appear either as single rider, or rides together with random travelers. This mod finally allows gang members to ride together in packs, with groups of 3–7 riders possible.

As an expansion of the “attack other gang” mechanic from the original mod, which was never fully utilized due to the aforementioned limitations, you might encounter gunfights between the gang against outlaws, or the law itself.

Gang Territories:
Gang territories remain the same as the old one, with changes made as this focuses more on major faction, although more could be added in the future

Lemoyne Raiders – Scarlett Meadows and Bayou NWA
O’Driscolls – Big Valley and Heartland (1899 only)
Laramie – Big Valley (1907 only)
Murfree Broods – Roanoke Ridge
U.S Army – Cumberland Forest and Ambarino
Wapiti Warriors – Ambarino
Del Lobos – New Austin
Skinner Brothers -Tall Trees

(NEW) Custom Gang Territory
You can now add custom territory for any gang according to your preferences, be it US Army in Scarlett Meadows, or Murfree Brood in Saint Denis, or even your own custom ped from a mod.

How it Works
Spawn System
By default, every 60 seconds, there’s a 40% chance a gang posse will spawn nearby, and a 15% chance that, when one does, it’s a battle instead of a regular wanderer. this can be customized to your preferences in the mod setting. to ensure maximum stability, this mod is disabled if you are wanted, within proximity of the gang camp, or during mission. Optionally you can also prevent them from spawning if you’re not on a road.

(NEW) Custom Gang Territory
You will have to enable custom gang territory in the mod menu, then you can choose the district to spawn certain gang, you can also choose for a town in a district to spawn it’s own gang. So for example, if you set Heartland to spawn O’Driscolls, Valentine to spawn US Army, and Emerald Ranch to spawn Natives, US Army will only spawn when you’re in Valentine and Natives will only spawn in Emerald Ranch, O’Driscolls will not spawn on either town but will spawn anywhere else within the Heartland. Each territory support more than one gang so you can have all of the game gang to spawn in a single territory.

Mod Menu (Mod Configuration Menu Required)
This mod no longer provides the menu, you’ll have to download MCM for the menu to appear

Spawn frequency: choose preset or edit manually
Timer: how long until a gang may spawn (seconds)
Chance: probability of the gang actually spawn once the timer hit 0 (this is to make the spawn more random and dynamic, set to 100 if you want them to always spawn)
Battle Chance: probabilty if the gang does spawn, it will be a battle (set to 100 if you want them to always have a battle, set to 0 to disable gang battle)
Town/Night Multiplier: changes the probabilty of spawn in town and/or at night, measured by Chance x Town/Night Multiplier
Range to Despawn: how far from the player until they’re “released”/despawn

Additional Settings
Require player on road: as it says, you have to be on a road for the timer to run, this is to make sure they don’t spawn when you’re supposed to be in an isolated area far from any road or civilization
Spawn on road only: force gang to only spawn on road, this is to make sure they don’t appear in unintended places (but may also restrict their spawning possibility)
Display Blips: display blip on the gang, if you need to track them
NEW Enhanced Spawn: gang can now spawn in any direction instead of always behind camera.

Compatibility
unlike the original mod, which uses Lenny Mod Loader and edit game files, this exclusively uses script, which mean it’s compatible with pretty much everything, you can install this mod standalone, or paired with the original Ambient Gang

BUT

this isn’t compatible with Ambient Gang – Manhunt (if you even use it) since it’s functionally identical, also the battle uses a new relationship defined in relationship.meta. therefore, if you have original Ambient Gang (or any other mod that use Relationship.meta), replace the relationship.meta from that mod with this one.

Installation instructions
