Reintroduces the cheating at Poker mechanic that was present in RDR1, fully reimagined to fit in RDR2.
This script restores the poker cheating mechanic from RDR1. Though also planned for RDR2, the feature ended up being cut, but residual strings and animation references remain in the files. The mod features a unique UI made from scratch, completely unrelated to whatever the original UI was supposed to look like.
When the chance comes during the deal, hold the Take Card prompt to secretly keep a card from the deck. When it’s your turn to bet, you can then swap one of your cards with the card stored in your sleeve!
While you are actively dealing the cards, the “Take Card” prompt appears alongside the other prompts. Hold it, fill it, and a random card gets added to your sleeve. You can only take a card while you’re the dealer.
During a betting round, hold Cheat. If you fill it in time, choose your left or right hole card and trade it for the card up your sleeve. Your hand changes, and the game updates the cards to match!
Dueling can be turned off in the .ini file. If you fail to fill either prompt in time, an opponent will notice you are cheating and challenge you to a duel, which starts automatically.
To install, drag and drop PokerCheatingRestored.asi and PokerCheatingRestored.ini to your RDR2 directory.
ScriptHookRDR2 V2 is required. This mod will not work at all on Alexender’s Blade Script Hook!
