A place for every horse

For eight years, the stable’s four places have made every new horse a choice about which old companion to leave behind. Stable Expansion gives that familiar list the room it has always needed. Horses stay in the game’s own stable menu: browse, buy, name, saddle, sell and store them through the same familiar flow. No second stable, replacement menu or extra key to remember.

I developed this release alone over twenty days through runtime inspection, implementation and controlled in-game testing. Its added capacity is registered while the game is running and presented through the original stable list. The work stays deliberately narrow: more room for your horses while the familiar interface remains intact.

The space you choose

19 places by default. Four original places plus fifteen additional ones appear in the same stable list. Set AdditionalSlots in StableExpansion.ini from 0 to 55 for a total capacity of 4 to 59; AdditionalSlots=55 reaches the maximum.

The expanded list remains one continuous stable experience. Stored horses and free places stay together in the original menu, with the same names, prompts and management flow you already know.

Installation

Install ScriptHookRDR2 and an ASI loader, then place StableExpansion.asi, StableExpansionRuntime.asi and StableExpansion.ini beside RDR2.exe. Launch Story Mode with a save in which stables have already been unlocked. Edit AdditionalSlots in the INI before starting the game if you want a different capacity.

Tested with Red Dead Redemption 2 version 1.0.1491.50. This is a Story Mode mod; it is not for Red Dead Online. Other game versions and combinations with horse mods have not all been tested, so keep a backup of your save before changing your stable capacity.

Since the mod uses memory registration, you will most likely need to log in with the official launcher. It probably does not support the 1911 launcher or other game versions. We are very sorry for this inconvenience.
