Lose at poker? Take it back the outlaw way. Poker Table Robbery tracks your net loss, then lets you hold up the players who took it. Draw a weapon, aim, and force them to surrender—or fight for your money. Includes configurable keybinds, status tools, and Story Mode support.-V2 simplified also available soon as separate mod
Features
Tracks your actual net poker loss.
Supports larger poker buy-ins and increased-bet mods that use the normal Story Mode wallet.
Remembers the NPCs who were playing at the table.
Requires a drawn weapon and direct aim before a robbery can begin.
Poker players may surrender or fight back.
Money is only returned after the robbery interaction is completed.
Divides the recoverable loss between the tracked poker players.
Includes configurable keyboard controls.
Includes an on-screen status and diagnostic system.
Creates a log file showing poker cash-outs and mod payouts.
Does not automatically refund money when Arthur stands up.
Story Mode support only.
How It Works
Join a poker game normally.
Play until you lose money.
Leave the poker table.
Wait for the mod to calculate your final net loss.
Draw a weapon.
Aim directly at one of the players from the poker table.
Press the configured robbery key.
Keep the weapon aimed while the hold-up takes place.
The targeted player may surrender and return their share of the money. They may also resist and start a fight.
Only money that was actually lost is recoverable. Any unused poker chips returned when Arthur leaves the table are treated as a normal poker cash-out and are not counted as lost money.
Example
Cash before poker: $100.00
Poker buy-in: $15.00
Cash returned on exit: $4.00
Final cash: $89.00
Recoverable loss: $11.00
The mod records $11.00, not the entire $15.00 buy-in.
Requirements
Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC
Story Mode
ScriptHookRDR2
A working ASI loader, normally
dinput8.dll
This mod is not intended for Red Dead Online.
Installation
Place these files inside the main Red Dead Redemption 2 game directory:
PokerTableRobbery.asi
PokerTableRobbery.ini
They should be installed in the same folder as:
RDR2.exe
ScriptHookRDR2.dll
dinput8.dll
Default Controls
G — Start the poker-player robbery
F7 — Display mod status
F8 — Reset the current session
F9 — Manual tracking fallback
F10 — Reload the configuration file
Controls can be changed in:
PokerTableRobbery.ini
Configuring Keybinds
The INI uses Windows virtual-key codes.
Default configuration:
[RobKey]
Hold=0
Press=71
[StatusKey]
Hold=0
Press=118
[ResetKey]
Hold=0
Press=119
[ManualKey]
Hold=0
Press=120
[ReloadKey]
Hold=0
Press=121
Hold=0
means no modifier key is required.
For example, to use Left Ctrl + G:
[RobKey]
Hold=162
Press=71
After changing the configuration, press F10 in-game to reload the INI.
When the robbery key is changed from G, the configured keyboard key will still work, although the standard graphical G prompt may be hidden to avoid displaying the wrong control.
Status Display
Press F7 to display the current state of the mod.
The status can show:
Current poker-tracking state
Starting cash balance
Current cash balance
Lowest detected balance
Recoverable debt
Number of tracked poker players
Poker cash-out amount
Number of payouts issued by the mod
This is useful when testing compatibility with another poker mod.
Poker Cash-Out vs. Mod Payout
RDR2 normally returns the value of Arthur’s remaining poker chips when he leaves the table. This can look like a refund, but it is part of the game’s normal poker settlement.
The status display separates these values:
GameCashout
Money returned by the poker game when leaving the table.
PTRPays
The number of payouts issued by Poker Table Robbery.
The mod also creates:
PokerTableRobbery.log
Normal poker settlement is recorded as:
event=GAME_POKER_CASHOUT
Money added by this mod is recorded as:
event=PTR_PAYOUT
If money is returned while
PTRPays
remains at zero, Poker Table Robbery did not issue that payment.
Manual Tracking
Automatic tracking should be used under normal conditions.
F9 is provided as a fallback for poker mods that significantly alter the normal poker scripts or wallet behavior. Manual tracking should only be used when automatic detection fails.
Press F8 to clear an incorrect or stuck session before beginning another game.
Compatibility
The mod should work with increased-bet or larger-buy-in mods when those mods continue using the normal Story Mode cash balance.
Compatibility may be limited when another mod:
Uses a completely separate poker wallet.
Replaces the standard poker scripts.
Changes the player’s money after a long delay.
Automatically refunds poker losses.
Alters poker NPCs after Arthur leaves the table.
Uses the same keyboard controls.
Changes the normal weapon-aiming or interaction system.
Use F7 and the generated log file when diagnosing compatibility problems.
Troubleshooting
The mod does not load
Confirm that ScriptHookRDR2 and the ASI loader are correctly installed. The ASI must be placed beside
RDR2.exe
.
No robbery prompt appears
Confirm that:
A real poker loss was recorded.
Arthur has completely left the poker game.
A weapon is drawn.
Arthur is aiming directly at one of the original poker players.
The NPC has not already been robbed.
F7 shows a recoverable debt greater than zero.
Pressing the robbery key does nothing
Check the configured key code inside
PokerTableRobbery.ini
, then press F10 to reload it.
Also verify that another mod is not using the same key.
The entire buy-in appears to return
Press F7 and check
PTRPays
.
If
PTRPays
is zero, the payment came from RDR2 or another poker mod—not Poker Table Robbery.
Review
PokerTableRobbery.log
for confirmation.
The mod remains stuck
Press F8 to reset the current tracking session.
Multiple status messages appear
Search the game directory for every file matching:
PokerTableRobbery*.asi
Delete all old copies and keep only the newest version.
Uninstallation
Delete:
PokerTableRobbery.asi
PokerTableRobbery.ini
PokerTableRobbery.log
The log file is optional and may not exist until the mod has been used.
Important Notes
Story Mode only.
Do not use this mod in Red Dead Online.
Save your game before testing new ASI mods.
Poker modifications may behave differently depending on other installed mods.
The recoverable amount is based on net wallet loss, not automatically the entire buy-in.
NPC reactions may create witnesses, violence, law responses, or other normal gameplay consequences.
