Photon V1.2

Yet another visual overhaul, focused on Rockstar-like stylized realism. Not a ReShade.

PHOTON built upon everything introduced in NLR while taking its visuals in a more distinct direction. Its atmospheric system is reworked from scratch, with a particular focus on the clouds, its natural layering, and unique formations that allowed for greater atmospheric variety.

Night darkness is now determined by weather and cloud coverage rather than forced exposure reduction trick (like NLR), allowing clear nights to remain visible while heavily overcast conditions could become extremely dark.

NLR will still be available as a separate mod for those who prefer its look

INSTALLATION
Simply drag and drop into your LML directory. Make sure you have graphics.ytd crash fix installed.

ASI Mods: Fully compatible. 

Other Visual Mods: Not compatible with mods that modify weather or timecycle_mods XML files like Visual Redemption, Flare, Renewal, Rain Particle Fix, etc., as they will conflict with Photon’s changes. 

FTB (Fuck That’s Beautiful): Compatible because FTB uses its own custom timecycle. There’s one caveat though, you’ll need to remove these entries:

from FTB’s timecycle file, as Photon relies heavily on those parameters across its weather timecycles.

VAXIS’s Physically Based Water: Requires manual merging of visualsettings.dat. The mod author has already provided a tutorial explaining how to do this. To retain Photon’s larger water bump texture, keep the following values unchanged:

water.bump.low.texturescale2
water.bump.high.texturescale1
water.bump.high.texturescale2

F.I.R.E. – Complete Fire and Flames Overhaul: Compatible despite a visualsettings.dat conflict. Simply give Photon a higher priority in your mod manager. F.I.R.E.’s visualsettings.dat changes only affect the appearance of flames. 

Graphical Issues Fixes: Partially conflicts through timecycle_mods, although some of its fixes have already been implemented into Photon. Give Photon a higher priority in your mod manager while keeping Graphical Issues Fixes enabled.
