This simple script overhauls NPC donations, replaces many of vanilla’s garbage contributions with character-appropriate cash, valuables, provisions and hunting goods, and lets the camp actually use its own money.
Rockstar still decides who donates and when. The mod changes what they donate and what it is worth, with unique donation pools for individual gang members.
Character-specific donations
Gang members contribute items that better fit their personality and role. Hunters such as Charles bring pelts and meat, wealthier characters such as Strauss and Trelawny contribute valuables or cash, and different characters have their own weighted donation pools.
Better camp ledger entries
Vanilla trash donations such as empty bottles, used alcohol, feathers, poor pelts and other near-worthless items can be replaced with more believable contributions. Existing garbage in the ledger can also be corrected.

A camp that spends its own money
When provisions, medicine or ammunition wagons are depleted, the camp can automatically pay to restock them if enough camp funds are available. The proper cost is deducted and recorded in the ledger just like a normal restock.

No more full dependence on Arthur
If there are enough funds, it’s now very unlikely to return to camp after several days and find the gang starving.
Gang hunting and Pearson food support
Hunting-capable gang members can contribute meat to Pearson, making the food icon automatically go from red to white without relying on Arthur’s food donations. This is a safety net, not infinite food.

Story progression
The economy improves through Chapters 2–4. Earlier contributions tend to be more modest, while later chapters favor stronger donations and better food supplies.
Supported camps
Living Camp Economy operates during the three main ledger-driven gang camps:
Chapter 2 – Horseshoe Overlook
Chapter 3 – Clemens Point
Chapter 4 – Shady Belle
It is intentionally disabled outside these camps and during the epilogue.
