Edit horse YMT settings in-game, browse your installed custom horse coats, combine your favorite features, and save the result as a persistent horse preset. No more choosing only one replacement per YMT file.
Pimp My Horsey
Script Hook V2 is mandatory, using the version from dev-c.com will cause a fatal error when spawning.
Found a coat you like but prefer the mane, tail, eyes, colors, or feathers from another horse? Easily make those changes now. No more compromising because two presets replace the same horse. You can keep the installed options available and build the exact horse you want.
Instead of installing one horse replacement, launching the game, checking it, quitting, and repeating the process for every option, the trainer can scan your installed LML horse mods and let you browse compatible custom horses directly in-game.
This trainer is meant to be used alongside my other mod : Tack Trainer – Vanilla Gang and MP – Live Edit Controller Support.
Features
▫️ Automatically detects your current horse
▫️ Edits supported horse components live in-game
▫️ Scans LML for installed a_c_horse_*.ymt presets
▫️ Groups installed coats by source mod or replaced horse
▫️ Combines matching head and body textures into one coat option
▫️ Supports live coat previews and named horse presets
▫️ Includes precise tint controls, mane and tail customization, leg feathers, hooves, tack, and custom eyes
▫️ Detects supported files from MDBranth’s Realistic Horse Eyes automatically
▫️ Organizes genetics, hair, hooves, tack, and unknown components into separate menus
▫️ Exports persistent horse YMTs into a dedicated LML folder
▫️ Uses native RDR2 menu fonts and opens with Shift + F10
Saving horses
Open Saved Horses and choose Save Current Horse.
Saved presets are stored under:
Red Dead Redemption 2\Sauvy_ASI\PimpMyHorse\Saved Horses
You can reload them later from the trainer. An optional toggle reapplies the last detected preset after the game refreshes the horse.
Persistent YMT export
Live changes normally last only for the current game session.
To keep a customized horse after restarting the game, export it through the trainer. Pimp My Horse creates or updates:
Red Dead Redemption 2\lml\Sauvy\Sauvy – Pimp my Horse YMT
The folder contains:
install.xml
a_c_horse_
The exported file keeps the original horse model filename so LML can replace the correct game asset.

Spoiler: Show
Installed Horse Library
Pimp My Horse can scan your
lml
folder for readable horse YMT files matching:
a_c_horse_*.ymt
Compatible files are added to the Installed Horse Library and identified using their mod-folder location and the vanilla horse they replace.
For example:
Beautiful Horses — Arabian Option 04
Replaces: Arabian White
This makes large horse packs much easier to browse.

Requirements
▫️ ScriptHookRDR2 V2 — Can’t do without it : Again Script Hook V2 is mandatory, if you get the version from dev-c.com the ASI won’t be able to load. Support requests caused by using the wrong ScriptHook version may not receive a response.
▫️ Lenny’s Mod Loader — Required for persistent YMT exports and installed-horse scanning
Suggested:
▫️ MDBranth’s Realistic Horse Eyes — Adds more custom eye options along with lashes
▫️ Online Content Unlocker — Adds more mane and tail options
▫️ Tack Trainer – Vanilla Gang and MP – Because if you enjoy customizing horses, you’ll enjoy that one too I guess
