Or hell, ever wanted to write your own mysteries and clues for something you are researching?, maybe write how you killed that poor sir camping alone in the woods… and just simple could not?
Write down your thoughts after a long day of hunting?…
This mod adds a fully functional personal journal to the game, styled like Arthur’s own diary.
Just press J (hold for 3 seconds) and your character pulls out a worn leather journal.
Open it up, choose a blank page, and start writing.
Your words and drawings are saved, so don’t worry… You’ll always be able to sit, read and remember your adventures while you are waiting for the rain to pass.
Installation instructions
1. Make sure you have ScriptHookRDR2 installed
2. Copy WriteYourJourney.asi to your RDR2 game folder
3. Copy WriteYourJourney.ini to your RDR2 game folder
4. (Optional) Choose your language n the Language folders, and replace the .ini with that one (if you want other languages)
5. Launch the game
6. Press “J” for 3 seconds and enjoy! [Key and time can be setted in the .ini]
To change language:
– Go to Languages/[LANG]/ folder
– Copy WriteYourJourney.ini to the main game folder (overwrite)
Fix Problems
This mod works on DX12 and Vulkan, but its guaranteed to work on Vulkan, so if you are experiencing problems, such as the journal not showing, etc… you can do the following:
– Change the API to Vulkan
– Make sure you are in FullScreen (if not, press Alt+Enter while playing)
That’s pretty much it to fix all the problems!!, sometimes the UI bugs and is not displayed, you only need to press “Alt + Enter” and everything will be fixed!
