Performance Optimizer V4.0

Optimizes performance and reduces stuttering by setting the game to a higher priority and improving memory usage management.

Installation Instruction

Part 1:
Make sure you’ve installed Ultimate ASI Loader first (see Requirement).
Download Part 1 of this mod and unzip it.
Copy RDR2Perfoptimizer.asi
into your main Red Dead Redemption 2 game folder – the same folder that contains RDR2.exe
Right click RDR2.exe -> Go to Compatibility Tab -> Check “Run this program as an Administrator” -> Apply -> OK.
Launch the game and load into Story Mode.

Part 2:

Make sure you’ve installed LML.
Download Part 2 of this mod and unzip it.
Copy Performance Optimizer Config folder into the lml folder.

To uninstall, just delete:
RDR2Perfoptimizer.asi from your game folder.
Performance Optimizer Config folder from the lml folder.

Features
CPU Higher priority: Tells Windows to treat RDR2 as more important than other programs, so it gets more CPU attention.
GPU Higher priority: Tells Windows to treat RDR2 as more important than other programs, so it gets more GPU attention.
Automatic core detection: Figures out your CPU’s actual layout on its own.
(ExcludeCores) Picking specific CPU cores: Lets you keep the game off certain CPU cores instead of using all of them for example, avoiding a core that’s busy with background tasks which can help smooth out stutter.
(ExcludeEfficiencyCores, off by default) Lets you skip weaker cores on newer CPUs: Some newer Intel chips mix powerful cores with weaker, more efficient ones. This option keeps the game on the powerful cores only.
No power saving throttling: Stops Windows from quietly slowing the game down to save power.
Better memory use: Helps Windows hold onto game data already in memory instead of constantly re-reading it from disk – fewer hitches when new areas load in.
No sleep interruptions: Stops your PC from falling asleep or turning off the display while you’re playing.
Switches Windows active power plan to High Performance to Optimize Performance.
Performance tweaks.
It will auto generate RDR2Perfoptimizer.ini (and the .log) into the game folder after the first time run.

NOTE:
If you’re using an older CPU with only 4/6 core, disable CPU affinity by setting Enabled=0 under the [Affinity] section in the .ini file.

Requires:
Ultimate ASI Loader – Required, other version can also be used.
