Hyundai tribute to Mad Panda
The Madpanda Motorsport logo and name originate from the team’s founding philosophy to do things differently and embrace an unconventional, fierce mindset in international GT and rally racing.
Team Background & Philosophy
• Ezequiel Perez Companc: The Argentine racing driver founded the Barcelona-based team in January 2020.
• The “Mad Panda” Meaning: The team chose the name and aggressive panda mascot to represent a “mad” or unconventional approach—proving that an independent, tight-knit crew could beat major factory-backed teams without massive budgets (such as winning the Silver Cup at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2021).
• The Livery: The striking black-and-white visual identity features stylized, fierce panda graphics and faces plastered across their race cars (like their Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, affectionately named “Sakura”)
