Toni Gardemeister competed in four rounds of the 2006 World Rally Championship with a Citroën Xsara WRC, entered by PH Sport and run by Astra Racing, alongside co-driver Jakke Honkanen. In his four appearances with the Xsara, Gardemeister achieved a fourth-place finish at the Acropolis Rally and another fourth place at Rallye Deutschland, before taking fifth in Cyprus. The blue Astra Racing Xsara was only raced in the 2006 OMV ADAC Rallye Deutschland.
