1993 Season Subaru Impreza 555 Uncensored/Censored

A historic Subaru Impreza 555 Group A livery from the car’s debut season in the World Rally Championship. Developed by Prodrive as the successor to the larger Legacy RS, the new Impreza made its WRC debut at the 1993 1000 Lakes Rally in Finland, driven by Ari Vatanen / Bruno Berglund and Markku Alén / Ilkka Kivimäki.
The Impreza immediately showed its potential. Ari Vatanen finished 2nd on the car’s very first WRC appearance, only 47 seconds behind Juha Kankkunen, and had even led the rally during the event. The combination of the smaller, more agile Impreza chassis and Prodrive development marked the beginning of one of the most famous rally cars of the 1990s.
The Impreza returned later in the season for the 1993 RAC Rally, where Colin McRae / Derek Ringer and Ari Vatanen / Bruno Berglund competed for the 555 Subaru World Rally Team. Vatanen finished 5th, while McRae’s first WRC start in the Impreza ended with retirement after an overheating problem.
Bring the first-generation Subaru Impreza 555 into Assetto Corsa Rally and recreate the beginning of the car that would soon become one of the defining icons of World Rally Championship history.
