Loïc Duval made his rallying debut at the 2021 Rallye du Var, driving a Peugeot 208 Rally4 alongside co-driver Gwénola Marie. The Peugeot Sport WEC driver and 2013 Le Mans 24 Hours winner took part in the final round of the 208 Rally Cup as a one-off appearance, discovering rallying for the first time. Despite having no previous rally experience, Duval showed his natural speed by setting the second-fastest time on the circuit-based SS8.
