Truck Crash Doctor is a small free Windows app for one specific bad moment: your modded game just crashed to desktop and you don’t know which mod did it.
Point it at your game folder and it reads what the game itself wrote down game.log.txt and game.crash.txt and tells you, in plain English, what happened and which mod it points to.
What it does
Reads your crash log and game log after a crash — no guessing, only what the game actually reported
Names the mod the evidence points to (a mod flagged as incompatible, a map conflict, a too-old dashboard/HUD mod, a missing dependency…)
Explains the verdict in plain English — written for players by players
Tells you when your mods aren’t the problem, so you don’t tear a working mod folder apart for nothing
What it doesn’t do
It never changes, moves or deletes anything. It’s read-only, it looks at your logs and mod folder and reports back. Fixing things is up to you.
It’s not magic. If the game didn’t log the cause, no tool can name it, Truck Crash Doctor will say so honestly rather than invent a culprit.
It tackles one fault at a time, it shows you the most likely culprit first, not every problem at once. If your game still crashes after you fix the first one, just run it again. Each check takes seconds, so even a mod folder with several faults is sorted quickly.
Works with: Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, local mods and Steam Workshop, Windows 10/11.
