A.M.B.E.R. (Adaptive Momentum Balance and Event Reactions – The Last Step Before the Fall) V1.0

Adaptive Momentum Balance

A.M.B.E.R. reshapes NPC reactions with probability pools, adaptive momentum and balance-first recovery. Hits may cause bracing, wound holding, sustained stagger walking, running, airborne steps, knockdowns or dismemberment. Weapon energy matters, but every valid outcome remains possible. Built for natural ragdoll reactions.

Most ragdoll overhauls focus on how hard a body hits the ground.

A.M.B.E.R. focuses on everything that happens before the fall.

Every impact can become a struggle for balance: a guarded step, a hand reaching for the wound, a slow stagger, a desperate run, an airborne recovery attempt, or a sudden collapse under overwhelming force.

This is not a collection of fixed weapon animations. It is a living reaction system shaped by momentum, balance, impact energy and probability.

No two falls need to begin the same way.

ONE COMPLETE REACTION POOL

Revolvers, pistols, repeaters, rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, bows and other weapons all retain access to the complete reaction pool.

Weapon power still matters. A shotgun or sniper rifle carries far more force than a sidearm, but that force changes the probability and intensity of each reaction rather than deleting entire categories of movement.

Bracing, prolonged balance, wound holding, slow staggering, forward walking, desperate running, sudden jumps, direct knockdowns and airborne launches all remain possible outcomes.

Shared possibilities. Different probabilities. Distinct force.

BALANCE BEFORE THE FALL

A.M.B.E.R. gives wounded characters time to remain active inside the reaction.

They may bend forward, protect an injury, regain their footing, walk several steps or break into a run before finally falling. Longer reactions are allowed to develop naturally instead of immediately becoming repetitive spinning, tripping or instant recovery.

Some characters fall at once. Others fight the inevitable. Rare reactions can hold balance for an exceptionally long time before the final collapse.

EVERY HIT REMAINS A REACTION

Headshots, fatal impacts and dismemberment do not automatically abandon the reaction system.

They remain connected to the same weapon-driven probability pool, allowing balance, staggering, movement, knockdowns and airborne force to appear even when the hit is lethal.

Death changes the destination. It does not erase the journey toward it.

WEAPON CHARACTER

Sidearms favor readable balance reactions, wounded movement and varied collapses. Repeaters and rifles deliver stronger momentum while preserving prolonged staggering and recovery.

Shotguns retain their brutal knockdowns and launches without being restricted to them. Sniper rifles preserve extreme impact force while still allowing balance, stumble and movement reactions.

Explosions and exceptional forces remain capable of producing the most violent airborne results.

Shared possibilities. Different probabilities. Distinct force.
