This mod introduces an eerie touch to the wilderness by replacing x3 ambient sound effects with distant Sasquatch howls and whoops.
These sounds specifically replace distant, ambient bear and wolf audio – which often play whilst wolves / bears aren’t even present – just as rare background audio.
The sounds have omnidirectionality and dynamic ambient occlusion – so they will have a general direction they come from, and for they might muffle/echo depending on your location and/or the sounds locational origin.
No scripting, just audio replacements – so there shouldn’t be a performance hit.
Location & Rarity
Do not expect to hear these sounds constantly. They are designed to be extremely rare to preserve immersion.
You will most notably hear these calls in densely forested areas and snowy regions, mainly around Ambarino, and occasionally in other mid-Northern regions.
They more commonly happen at night, but do still occur at daytime too. Typically the longer calls occur at night, and shorter ones occur mostly at day.
What about vanilla bear & wolf sounds?
Because these sounds only replace a couple specific sets of ambient audio within a large pool of many, there are still plenty of untouched, vanilla bear and wolf noises in the game. I specifically chose bears and wolves for the replacements due to their suitable locations and natural rarity.
Also note that the vanilla sounds would commonly play whilst there arent even bears or wolves loaded into the game at all – so just random ambient sounds.

Bear Sounds: 8 to 1 (Vanilla to Sasquatch)
Wolf Sounds: 10 to 2 (Vanilla to Sasquatch)

Installation
Download and unzip the mod archive.
Drop the SasquatchSounds folder directly into your lml directory.
Compatibility
This mod only edits BEARS.awc and WOLF.awc, so it should be fully compatible with most mods.
